Updated iTunes to 11.4.1 and now iTunes does not recognize my iPhone or iPad

Updated iTunes to 11.4.1 and now iTunes does not recognize my iPad or iPhone.

I just reinstalled driver for iPad and now iTunes recognizes it. Now the problem is the iPhone 4s - when I attatch it to computer I get USB not recognized so I can not get to the part to update or reinstall driver. The new iTunes is causing to many problems I have seen. Anyone know how to get computer to recognize USB so I can reinstall driver? I am using windows 8
