Cannot Reinstall itunes??????

Tried to install that latest Apple update, most current version, when I get to the Mobile Me part of the download it gives me this error message. "SERVICE APPLE MOBILE DEVICE ( APPLE MOBILE DEVICE) FAILED TO START. THAT YOU HAVE SUFFICIENT PRIVILAGES TO START SYSTEM SERVICES.


it only gives me the option to "Abort, retry, or cancel" download. it will not complete the download of the apple update.


I uninstalled my itunes and cannot reinstall. Now, I donnot have any itunes on my laptop.


PLEASE HELP !!
