Q: I tried to upgrade to the newest version of iTunes.   Now it won't start and says, The program cannot start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer.  I've tried reinstalled several times but that does not fix the problem.

I was upgrading to the latest version of iTunes on my Windows 7 machine and have had three things happen:

1.  During the install I got the message, Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.   I have full local admin rights on the machine so I chose IGNORE and continued

2.  After finishing the install I get, iTunes was not insalled correctly.  Please reinstall iTunes.   Error 7 (Windows error 126).   I have reinstalled.   Remove iTunes completely and tried again.   I still get the same results.

3.  When trying to start iTunes I get, The program cannot start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer.  Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem

Can anyone out there help me with this?
