I've never seen a mobile OS that allowed you to delete everything. In many cases, things that you think aren't part of the OS actually are. And, while the hardware belongs to you, the software doesn't. You only have a license to use it.
But, submit your feedback to Apple here:
Simply not true. If it's presenting an image on my phone, it's taking up space. Perhaps not much, but don't say it's not taking any space.
But the real issue is that WE SIMPLY DON'T WANT IT. We don't want Apple monitoring the music we listen to and I'm never (ever) going to listen to Beats1, so I should be able to delete ANYTHING from my phone that I don't want other than the operating system itself. Anything. Period. It's MY phone.
Thanks for the lesson in software licensing and sharing your vast knowledge of what OS providers will or will not allow to be disabled or removed.
However, your reply is neither helpful nor on point. As someone who manages software developers abd licenses said software, I’m keenly aware of how licensing works, and equally aware that the fastest way to disenfranchise users is to bloat a product with a bunch of “crap” and not give them a way to select on their own whether they wish to use it. Nothing in Radio, Beats, and myriad other crap that comes with iOS (and now, in MacOS as well) is an integral component of the operating system. It’s “integrated”, sure... but it could be made so that it could be turned off, deactivated or removed without in any way preventing the phone from making phone calls, which is ostensibly its primary function. Otherwise, they might have just called it the iGadget. But they didn’t, dis they.
Save yourself some time if you see another post of mine. Rest comfortably in the knowledge that I know where and how to contact Apple support. I would do so if I thought there was a fragment of a chance it would make a difference.

Posting here certainly isn't going to make an iota of difference to Apple. You can rest comfortably in that knowledge.
Please keep in mind that no one here is a mind reader. No one here knows whether or not you've use Feedback (which has made a difference) or if you understand the difference between owning hardware and licensing software. So, castigating someone for pointing it out is uncalled for. Civility costs nothing.
Fair enough. I apologize for the snark.
It seemed to me, though, that your message was a bit on the condescending side as well, and if that wasn't your intentions, I am sorry for the mis-read.
All that said, I still believe, in all seriousness that an operating system that forces people to have certain radio stations that can't be removed is poorly designed (at best) or simply being used as a marketing tool so they can collect fees from the stations that they provide (not Beats, I understand that's them).
Rant concluded. Again, my apologies.

Nor was that my intention.
Something else you are probably aware of...Apple has always had a tendency to give you the options they think you should have. Some people are okay with that and it drives others to distraction. I don't see it likely that they are going to change that mindset at this late date.
I really do think it's worth submitting feedback. There are a number of things that Apple seems to have changed over the years based on feedback. I suspect the method for removing the restrictions passcode that's available in iOS 11 is one of those things. There have been others as well, including a change in the way the side switch worked on iPads, and changes in the way DND works. The answer is usually going to be no but sometimes it's not. But, that's your call.
Best of luck.
iTunes radio does not prevent you from using your iPad. It does not take up storage on your iPad. The radio works only to stream music via wifi or Cellular.
If you go to Settings
iCloud
Storage and Backup
Manage storage
show all (apps) You can now see what is using all the space on your iPad.
Sort through the Apps and turn switch off for any App that has data you don't need. (Please note: this will delete any sign in info also)
Delete any Apps you don't use.
Transfer photos and video to the computer.
Lizdance thank you for you time, but you did not answer a thing and you belittled my question and my concern.
This stupid app causes my autistic son to meltdown..
Thank you apple for deciding what I need, it is causing harm to my son...
That streaming music is the problem.. it is not innocuous...
What was a tool that helped my son became a device for his torment...
It makes the iPad un-useable. His old iPad 1, with the old iOS is all he can use and he is angry about that.. He cries to me that this new iPad is broken and that he never gets to use his new iPad... Before the iOS 7 upgrade it was his favorite device and it was a tool for his education with all the wonderful autisum apps...
As a child that has a hard time communicating, to have him spend so much effort voicing such sadness it is heart renching...
My wife want us to get rid of all Apple products we current own...and never buy Apple again.
So I have a bit of an issue here... all due to the radio feature I didn't want and can't get rid of...
Can anyone help?
Can you explain in more detail what the precise problem is that the application is causing? Maybe someone can help you find another way to address it besides removing the app (which you cannot do).
I can't because it seem when I go in to the details Apple removes my response from the disscussion.
2x already...
Radio is unwanted and cause my autistic son to meltdown. I cannot hide or remove and to top it off the explict block on the parent controls does not stop explict language.. it just doesn't work!
So please, please, please any help?
There is no iTunes Radio app.
It's built into the music app.
If it upsets your son-don't let him use any iOS device, buy something else.
Thank you for the none answer.
1. I know, nerver said it was. Thank you for restating the obvious.
2. I have, but now I have a $700 paperweight.
But until the OS upgrade this was the most useful device to help him.
So now no solution? Really?
Please only post helpful suggestions...
There is no current way to fix your problem.
If the iPad is no longer doing what you want sell it and buy something else.
Send feedback to Apple at http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html
You can't BUT if you don't want it to suck up your data and get charged by your Carrie go to Settings>Cellular>and cup scroll down to music and turn that to off.
Thank you all for your replies.
It seems that there is no solution to this. I had this confirmed by Apple.
It seems that after winning me back I once again have to leave the wonderful Apple devices until the 3rd coming of
Steve Jobs...
The first was amazing, the second was glorious but this time when he defies even death it will be mind-blowing...
