Okay, I got my new iPhone 5S yesterday... brand new from AT&T; Bring it home and try to connect my laptop to the hotspot/wifi and it won't work.. it'll say connecting and then it will say that it's taking too long and never asks me for my wifi password. I restored my entire laptop and my phone what set up as a new phone? what can be wrong? I reset all network settings

Does your ATT data plan include a hotspot/tethering option which is the most expensive data plan with ATT?
Yes. Me and my boyfriend is on a plan together and we always had the hotspot/tethering. He has a i5 and i had the i4; never once had a problem getting a phone connected until yesterday when I upgraded on my next plan.
Does your boyfriend have a problem doing the same?
If not, I would start by contacting ATT since it started with your upgrade for a new iPhone.
No he doesn't. Not at all until I did upgrade and I will be sure to call them in the morning
