Audiobook will not transfer

I downloaded an audiobookfrom Mcmillian study guides, it is mp4 and shows as an audiobook. I added it to itunes, version 11.1.4. I then tried to drag it to my iphone and it will not transfer. I have an Iphone 4S with IOS 7.0.4. anyone have any help?
