How long will this update take??

I hadn't been able to update for months, since I had too many movies/tv series installed in itunes. I deleted them all, updated the 6 updates, and it took all night!! It still is not finished and seems stuck (thought the bar is still moving) on this message, "Registering updated components..." How long will it be stuck here? I need to get my work done!
