I have an Epson Stylus Photo PX820FWD and have upgraded my desktop to OS X Version 10.9.1 and the printer won't scan anymore! Can anyone help?

I have an Epson Stylus Photo PX820FWD and have upgraded to OS X Version 10.9.1 but I cannot use the scanner on my printer to sent attachments to e-mails! How can I get this to work?

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)
