Getting error message at end of installing newest version of iTunes for Windows

"an application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly..." see below.

This shows up multiple times as I click the OK button. iTunes never starts.


Also getting:

I have full administrative rights so the privilages should not be the problem.

Any ideas what I can try?

Windows XP Pro, SP3
