I'd like to multiple delete photos from on my iPhone, from inside iPhoto on my Macbook. I would have thought this would be the best place to do this, but dragging the photos into the trash doesn't work and there's no delete option.
Can anyone help?

You can delete multiple photos from your phone on your phone.
You can delete multiple photos from your phone with Image Capture (in the Applications Folder)
Either of these are more simple as
a: the photos don't have to be imported
b: you can select the images to be deleted.

This was what I need. I have about 1000 photos to delete. I can't understand why there's no way of doing this in iPhoto. But anyway, this works so thanks!

There is a way to do it in iPhoto, but these other methods are less complicated.
OK any chance of a brief explanation of the iPhoto method?
You do it direcrly after importing, when it asks you of you want it to.
