How to create Labels on iMac and print on Avery Labels

How do I create file Labels on my new iMAC - familar with creating on my Windows Desktop using Word and printing on Avery Label stock - how can I do this on the iMac

You have a number of options... if you have Word for Mac installed on your iMac you can just go to the Avery website and download the template you need that matches the Avery labels you purchased. Othewise, you can use Pages, which is the Apple equivilent of Word, and open the template into that. If you use Pages, you should probably run one sample through on regular stock to make certain that the margins remain the same as there are no guarantees that Pages will be 100% faithful to the Word template table layout.


If you need to install Pages, it is a free download from Apple and can be had from the "App Store" application found in your Applications folder, and depending on your version of OS X, on the far left of the dock at the bottom of the screen. It is the round blue icon with what appears to be an "A" in the center.
