will minidiscs work in slot-loading superdrive

Hello,
I recently purchased a sandisk 1gb compact flash card for camera. Included was a minidisc with software for rescuing deleted files on the flash card when my camera or a card reader is hooked up to my computer. Will the minidisc work in my slot-loading superdrive on my powerbook? I think not, but when I explained situation to sandisk support to be able to download that program for free they said it would work. I don't think they know what a slot-loading drive is. I know a tray-loading drive has a depression for minidiscs but there isn't a tray for my powerbook drive and no way to keep the disc centered when inserting it into my computer.
thanks much,
charles

No, mini-discs (mini cd's/dvd's) will not work and worse, you may damage your slot-loading drive. What you need is to get an external drive (tray-loading) and you're good, or you can make a copy of said mini-disc from a desktop or laptop computer with a tray (work, friend and so on) and burn it to a regular sized disc.
I have a Plextor 716UF (USB/FW) drive handy for such occassions.
