Q: how can i activate my iphone with authorization

my friend gave me his iphone 5 that he lost and then found it , he gave it to me but we cant activate , we follwed standard procedure by signing into icloud and removing device , but phone is still asking for old icloud account . what can i do next ?

You need to enter the password for the old Apple ID on the phone when it asks.
