The " key and the @ key have reversed their function. No problem with any other, and it's a 2 year old lap top?

The " key and the @ key have reversed their function. I have a two year old MacBook Pro which is great in all other ways.

If you are having issues with reversed " and @ keys, you may want to double check and make sure that your keyboard input is set for British or British - PC. There are several Roman character language layouts that either have these locations inverted or have them both on the "2" key. You may find the following articles helpful:
