Deleting Apple ID from Best Buy "open box" iPad Air.

Is there a way to wipe this "open box" iPad back to factory new condition without the previous owner's password or am I going to have to return it to Best Buy?

iPad, iOS 7.0.4

The Apple ID and Password that was Originally used to Activate the iDevice is required

If you do not have that information you will not be able to use the Device.

No. Not with iOS 7 installed.
