Feb 3, 2014 3:42 AM in response to LostPetralby diesel vdub,★HelpfulNo, it will have no affect.
If streaming content from the iTunes store, switching from HD to SD content will reduce the size of downloads and lower bandwidth usage.
The only real way to lower the data usage is to stream less content.

Feb 3, 2014 4:16 AM in response to diesel vdubby LostPetral,OK, that is what I thought, since I have no control of the rate PBS streams at, I will use the same amount of data no matter how it looks on my TV.
Thanks

Feb 3, 2014 3:05 PM in response to LostPetralby Vandergraff,Don't know about the PBS app - but reducing your resolution on the Apple TV will reduce Netflix data usage. Set for 1080P the Apple TV will try to acces the 5800 kbps Netflix stream, set for 720P it will try to access the 3000 kbps stream etc....
Netflix also has account settings where you can reduce data usage - as I say not sure if any of this applies to the PBS app
