Why can't I add my friends in Game Center?

I am trying to add friends to Game Center by taping on the 'plus' button and entering the Facebook name of the person as I should, and every single time I get a message that says friend request failed, check the name and try again.

So I check the name and I try again, as instructed, and it fails again...

What's going on?
