Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
When starting my Mac Book Pro It often shuts off immediately after the first sound, sounds. I have to try sometimes up to 10 times, before it "holds" and I can use the Mac Book. Other times it shuts down unexpectedly. Any suggestions?

It's a routine procedure. You must, of course, back up all data, whether you follow that procedure or not.

no bravery is required to follow Linc Davis’ suggestion — only determination to solve your problem is required, as well as a helping of prudence to preserve your data, in case your startup difficulties are being caused by a disk which is starting to fail.
