Q: Calendar is frozen trying to update with icloud?*

I updated to 10.9 on my desktop. Now calendar seems to freeze and gives an error message. First "Couldn't move calendars to icloud because an error occurred" Then another window pops up

"The server responded with an error [400]"

Any suggestion how to fix it and get it synced on icloud?

2.8 quad core desk top, Mac OS X (10.6.2), 2 GB Ram

I have posted on a number of dialogues hoping for an answer . I cannot deselect calendar from iCloud as the tick box is grey. Force quitting calendar makes no difference.
