'Runtime error'

Hello,

I allow my itunes to send me a pop up of any new software available. For example if an upgrade is ready. You can chose what you do and do not install. About a week ago now I got a new itunes pop up when I opened it to tell me an upgrade of the software was available, I chose to install it. I let it do it's thing as usual. But this time around when it had finished installing, I got several messages saying:

'Runtime error

Program: C:\Program Files\ iTunes\ iTunesHelper.exe

R6034

An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.

Please contact the application's support team for more information.'

I own a Sony Vaio with windows Vista...

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing iTunes 3 times now and each time the same thing has happened.

HELP!

Regards
