Feb 5, 2014 12:36 AM in response to Joe Bergeronby vinnyvg,You can "preview" on your mac if you have updated to Mavericks.
If the book passed the review team, it seems unusual that it has flawed widgets.
I would suggest it is more than possible, that those who say the widget is not working, may be having problems with their iPads.

Feb 12, 2014 5:29 PM in response to vinnyvgby Joe Bergeron,As I said above, I did preview the book on my Mac, which revealed no problems. It would be nice if it was only a matter of people having problems with their iPads, but it isn't. Everyone I have asked identifies the same problem. I have now had a chance to view the book on a new iPad Air...same problem. When I tap the widget all that happens is that the menu bar and and chapter/title appear on top, the same as if I had touched the page anywhere. It's as if the widget isn't even there. I still don't know how to approach or change this. Obviously the testing/previewing process is imperfect.

Feb 12, 2014 6:06 PM in response to Joe Bergeronby vinnyvg,I have seen many times with problems, that author either blames some part of Apple system to create, deliver and sell books. It usually tuns out to the problem is within the book - the Pain... is finding it.
I have seem the online video - which is brilliant, but that does not show the problem.
I would take two lines on this, the first being to contact the review team and ask how your book passed into the store when it seems buyers are reporting a a glaring problem with a widget, and ask if they can check the iBooks version.
Second is to revisit your widget construction.
Have you analysed what - if anything is different with the one Keynote giving a problem, than the others which are OK.
Have you tried rebuilding the Keynote? if not perhaps you can open a new "practice" book and use it to test the Keynote without risk to the main project master files.
Additionally, I would suggest you start a new post on iBooks Author discussiuon group, many of the user of iBA, do not check out other groups, and maybe you will find more Keynotes users who have the knowledge I lack to help you.
