For Christmas my aunt sent me her old iPad and I can't get ahold if her to see if I have a warranty.....the nearest Apple Store is 2 hours away and I don't have the receipt.......can I check to see if I have a warranty and if not can I buy one??? Thanks!

If you are wishing to purchase Apple Care, no you should not need a receipt. This, of course assumes the iPod is still within the warranty period.
Tech support and AppleCare are both expired according to them.
The initial tech support period is for 90 days of phone support. The warranty is for 1 year.
