Q: I have already terminated my contract with AT&T so my SIM/phone is disconnected. Will I still be notified the phone has been unlocked?

I already terminated my contract with AT&T so my SIM/phone is inactive. Will I still be notified by phone is unlocked? How can I ensure it worked?

You should be notified by email. When you are notified, you must restore the phone using iTunes to complete the unlock.

Did you request that AT&T unlock the phone? They don't unless you ask.

I received the unlock approval from AT&T but the process directions day you will receive a text. How do you get a text on a disconnected phone?

Will it still unlock with a SIM that has been terminated? The directions say to use the SIM that came with the phone.

Yes, it will work with one that has been terminated. You will need to Restore your phone as a new iPhone (not from backup) to unlock it.
