how to mute out background noise in garageband

Hi, im doing some audio editing and im recoring a poem for someone i use very nice mics and equipment which is good but i can also hear any noise my client makes with beathing or his mouth speaking i dont want to sit all day and edit out the small noise is there a way i can just take a part of the track and mute all backround noise or any mac product that will make this easyer and is there a compressor i can use? i also will need one
