Q: My iPhone is no longer syncing to iTunes on my laptop.  Can ANYONE please HELP ME!

When I connect my iPhone through USB to my laptop my iTunes no longer opens and it also no longer Syncs.  I am currently using Windows 8.1 and if there is anything that anyone can suggest I would be incredibly grateful.
