When I try to connect my ipad to atv2 using airplay to watch netflix, I get an error message telling me to update my atv software but no updates are currently available. Atv running version 5.3. Tried restart and unplugging atv. Also turning off and on ipad. Netflix can't find a problem and says it's related to atv. Airplay works fine for other applications. Any suggestions?

You need to update to ATV version 6.0.2. Solved the problem for me.
Thanks NeenaC. I've tried to update the atv software but get the message "The update was not successful. The apple tv update couldn't be downloaded at this time. Try again later." It's been like this for days. Is there another way to update the software?
Do a Restore on your TV2 http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4367
A restore will erase all your settings AND update to the latest iOS version. After the update, you'll have to input your wifi network info & other settings.

Thanks Tom. My atv2 is jailbroken using season pass untethered. Do you know if there is anything I need to consider before I do this?
