I need to update itunes to the latest version so I can sync my ipad mini. However, itunes says I need to update my operating system. I have version 10.5.8 and the system keeps telling me that it is up to date. What can I do to fix this?

You are up to date as far as OSX 10.5 goes. Now you need to upgrade.

You can upgrade to Snow Leopard, but check system requirements first:

You can buy Snow Leopard at:

After installing run the updater to 10.6.8, then upgrade iTunes.
