Error 1415 but suggested solutions do not work

So I have a 160GB iPod classic which just will not restore as I keep getting "Error 1415".

While I was on holiday overseas I put my iPod on charge (using a usb adaptor on a power point) after charging, it worked okay for about a day or so but the next time I went to use it, it froze up. So I reset it as normal and it froze again...so once again I reset it, this time though all my music was wiped off!

Once I got home, I updated iTunes and connected my iPod to my computer hoping it would fix itself.

It didn't and all I got was "Error 1415"

I have tried all the solutions suggested here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1372 and it still will not sync. Even now, I have trouble with iTunes even recognising my iPod so I can Restore it.

Any idea on how to fix my iPod? or do I have to take it down to the apple store to get fixed?

I am not sure why it should be doing this, I've been able to charge it just fine before using a USB adaptor and I haven't downloaded anything that could possibly corrupt it.

Never mind. I just clicked the 'Format' option in My Computer, once it (eventually) recognised my iPod. Once that was done I was then able to restore it in iTunes.
