Mac not turning on and overheated

My MacBook is overheated and isn't turning on, it started when I put my iphone charger into it and it had warned me that it was taking too much power and to disconnect because it would cause damage, I ignored this then my laptop switched off and hasn't turned on since, is this temporary? Please Reply if you can help
