Is there a way to block entire area codes on iphone?

I would like to be able to completely block specific area codes from calling my phone. Is there a way?

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.0.4

No. Not at this time. Contact your carrier and see if they offer that service.

Obviously the carriers would not like area code blocking and Apple needs the carriers to sell their phones.

Maybe I am wrong and this will changed.
