How do I know if my Mac 10.5.8 will upgrade to a 10.6?

I found a few of the requirements, but I'm still not sure if I have Leopard or some of the other things on the list. I don't know how to find them. Would it be possible for someone to get into my computer to let me know what to do?
10.5.8 is Leopard. It's not a prerequisite for Snow Leopard anyway. The essential requirement is an Intel CPU. Check (Apple menu) > About This Mac
Where do I check to see if I have it? I'm clueless.

It will open a window. Your OS X version is shown in grey text directly under the big OS X.
If it says "Intel" next to Processor you can upgrade to Snow Leopard. You also need at least 1 GB Memory. More is always better though.

Yes. You can upgrade to Snow Leopard provided that you have sufficient Memory.
