Q: I purchased a tune from iTunes in 2012, and now Apple have deleted it from my library, and say it is not available in the UK. I was in the UK when I purchased it so why have Apple stolen it off me?

Apple cannot reach into your iTunes library on your computer and delete anything, so if the track was actually on your computer and not being streamed from the iTunes Store, something else has caused the track to go missing. Have you checked the iTunes folder on your computer to see if the track file is still there? If not, just restore it from your backup.

If, however, you are referring to the Purchases area in the iTunes Store, that's a different matter. The content owners can remove their property from the iTunes Store at any time without any notice, in which case the content will thereafter be unavailable. That's why you're strongly advised to download and keep backups of anything you purchase. The same will be available for any cloud-based media store.

    Regards.
