No Internet Connection OSX 10.6.8

Question

Ok guys, I really am at my wits end. I bought a 15 inch Macbook about a year ago and my old macbook got put in the cubboard since then. I was planning on cleaning it out and giving it to my brother. However i booted it up yesterday and there&#x27;s a notification saying "No internet Connection" up in the top right corner. I&#x27;ve tried resetting my routerDeleting plist files (Couldn&#x27;t find them, folder called "systemconfigurations" doesnt exist on this laptop.Manually assigning an IP Deleting it from the preferences pane and re-adding itunchecking PASV in proxies menuMy router is ok as I&#x27;m surfing the net no problem on my other Macbook Pro.Please help!!

Use the ethernet to connect to the internet.&#x3D;&#x3D;&#x3D;&#x3D;&#x3D;&#x3D;&#x3D;&#x3D;&#x3D;&#x3D;&#x3D;&#x3D;&#x3D;&#x3D;&#x3D;&#x3D;&#x3D;&#x3D;&#x3D;&#x3D;If you insist on using wireless....Try the basics first:   Change your router channel number.  Most times this works &amp; is all you have to do.Disconnect &amp; reconnect your modem.  unplug it for about 10 seconds.  Plug it back in.  Do the same for Apple’s routers.  Wait for everything to reboot.System Preferences&gt;NetworkClick the Assist Me button.In the next window that pops up, click the Diagnostic button &amp; do the necessary. Research Knowledge Base for network problems that pertain to the OS that is currently installed on your computer. This worked.I was getting ready to reload a clean OS since nothing worked on the Mac...I have very reliable D-Link DIR-655, but it may be getting old now. All my other macs work fine but ONE.Decided to Restore Router to default settings... THAT did it! Working Good Now.Hope this helps.
