Since downloading the newest version of iTunes I get the following message when connecting my iPod Nano version 7: "An iPod has been detected but cannot be properly identified." Nothing else on my computer has changed or updated. Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone know how to fix it?

Just in case, let's first try the following document:

This came from another thread, but worked for me. Problem is with newest iTunes 4.62. Unistall iTunes, as well as its helper programs (Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Divice Support, and Apple Software Update). Reboot, and reinstall iTunes. It will reinstall all the other ones and you should be able to connect your nano. Good luck.
