My AirPort Express keeps disconnecting from my router for brief seconds and then reconnecting. It inhibits fast, consistent connections (streaming becomes very grainy and low-quality). I just downgraded my firmware to 7.6.3 to see if that was the issue. No dice. Still doing it. My modem is fine, and I get great connection wired straight in. But when I run through the AirPort, everything gets a bit slower and inconsistent. I don't have any errors showing on the device.


Any thoughts on how to fix this?

    I have the same problem as jsteingraber.  I have tried a Soft reset, Hard reset, and a factory restore each with the same result... it only fixes the problem temporaily.  I have tried downgrading the firmware on both my AirPort Extreme and AirPort Express as this problem on recenly began manifesting istself.  I am beyond frustrated and it appears that I am not alone - there are several threads reakting to similar issues.

    I have a dual band router - 2.4GHz and 5GHz.  I switched to using entirely 5GHz and no more disconnection problems with my Airport Express from my devices. I have a two floor flat and am still getting good wi-fi signals throughout the flat. I was getting a lot of interference from neighbors. I am entirely on Apple with pretty updated hardware so everything can support 5GHz.
