When exporting a photo, I don't get the correct dialog box

When I export a version of a photo to my desktop, I no longer the dialog box, where I could choose the type of export, i.e., JPEG, PSD, TIFF, etc. Now my drop down menu is a box with my desktop on it with a button that reads Export. The only files I seem to be able to Export are TIFF files. Does anyone know what happened to the old dialog box? Did I hit some button that changed everything to a new dialog box? Thanks.

I was out last night, so I just got to the suggestions. This morning I got rid of my preferences and rebooted and restarted Aperture, but now when I try to open Aperture, I get the Welcome to Aperture box, because the preferences are gone. I can find my old Aperture library with a different name. I can't remember how to open that library. I think I create a new library and then import my old library by going to File>Import>Library. Is this right? Thanks.

You can open the old library by either locating it with the Finder and double clicking it or else with Aperture open on a new empty library select File->Switch to Library->Other/New.

Aperture will scan all the disks looking for libraries and list them in the window. Select the one you want. Note if you have a lot of disks this might take a few minutes.
