How do I change which computer my iPhone is synced with?

I brought my iPhone awhile ago and synced it with my desktop. Now that I just brough a MacBook Pro I want to sync my iPhone with my laptop instead. Everytime I try too it tells me it is synced with my other computer and if I continue I will lose all my music. I don't want to do this - but I don't know how else to swap them over. Can somebody please help me? Thank you 🙂

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

Hello AmandaNZ

Syncing between your iPhone and your computer is something that is paired between the two. Once you try to introduce a new computer into the mix it wants to forget what media is synced between them, like music, movies and other purchased content from your iPhone so you would need to go through that process of it removing the purchased content then re-sync it. You can transfer the purchased content and then re sync the data to get it back on there. Alternatively you can manually manage the content as well or make a back up and then restore the back up to your iPhone using the laptop.
