Q: compatibility mavericks MBpro early 2008

Will Mavericks be compatible to my MacBook pro early 2008 or which OSX will be best?

Any experience ?

It is compatible but less than 2gb ram and it won't work, also don't upgrade if you have less than 100gb of harddrive

OSX Snow Leopard is optimum

Thanks for the answers.
I upgraded to 4 GB Ram and put in a 1TB SSHD (8GB SD starter)
then updated to Mavericks...works all very well and faster then ever before ((-;
