Q: iTunes backup is encrypted - Recovering problem !

I've iPhone 4s,I didn't use it from long time ago, it was working on ios 6.1.2 last night.

I decided to upgrade to ios 7.0.4, hope I didn't !!

I made a backup and everything worked perfectly, but when I came back to restore from back up ! iTunes sayed that a password is needed !

I've never connected the device to the computer before ! Please help me I really want the files on the backup.

I can provide you anything to proof that I'm the woner of the device !

Please I need a solution

Well, you're the one that chose to encrypt this backup, not Apple. The whole point behind encrypting in the first place is to protect the data. Things are working exactly as designed.

Ok, I have never encrypted them, and If I have, there must be a way to go back

Well, fact is your backup is encrypted, & whether someone snuck into your house & did it; you did it & forgot about it; or you had an Exchange account at one time & it was required is academic at this point. If you tried all the suggestions in that support article to try & remember it, & nothing worked, your data is inaccessible.

While you can continue to sync/backup, the only way to remove the encryption requirement, in iTunes, is to delete your existing backups & restore the phone as a new device.

It is what it is.

Are you sure iTunes isn't asking for the password for you Apple ID? You can't restore from a backup without that password either.
