I have deleted Messages from my computer. How can I download a standalone version of Messages without having to reinstall my OS?

Many app come with the OS.
iChat 6 and the later Messages apps cannot be downloaded without the whole OS.
However the Restore process works like Archive and Restore did with the Install Disks.
