Hi mashita,

Before you change your Apple ID, be sure to delete your iCloud account from any devices where it is logged on. Go to Settings>iCloud, and scroll to the bottom to delete the acccount. Put in your current Apple ID password to delete the account and then follow the prompts to complete the deletion.

Then go into Manage your Apple ID: https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/ , log onto your current Apple ID, and the go in and "Edit" that ID to be the new one you wish it to be. Verify the new email address, and you should be all set.

Once you have changed your Apple ID under Manage your Apple ID, then you can go back to each of your devices and sign on your iCloud account using your new Apple ID.

Cheers,

Hi Gail,

My problem is that when I bought this computer I was with my boyfriend, as I didn't know too much about IT we used his apple ID. I opened and account for him in my computer as a guest, he can check his email, but I cannot.

When I enter my user in the computer, I can't see the icon for Mail, and when I tried to settle it, is his name that appears as the Apple ID for my Macbook Air...

Any suggestions how to have my name and not his?

Thanks,

Mashita
