First... Check here to see if your Mac is compatible...

If so... would recommend at least 4GB of RAM... if not 8 GB

NOTE that Rosetta is no longer supported in Mavericks, Mountain Lion and Lion.

Apple has removed Mavericks and Yosemite from the OS X App Store. They are not available through the online retail store either. With each new release of OS X, the prior release is removed from the OS X App Store — unless you had downloaded it before a new major version of OS X becomes available.


You responded to a two-year old post. Things have changed with product availability, just as they will two-years from now.
