The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported.

I have a Iphone 3G Which is Unlocked to any network

Activated: Yes

Last Activated SIM: Orange - United Kingdom G

Telephone Technical Support: Expired

Repairs & Service Coverage: Expired

Carrier: Unlock

SIM Lock: Unlocked

My serial Number is 82*****Y7H

I was given this phone, so reset the phone to factory, connected to Itunes for activation i then received the following message

The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported.

The SIM card that you currently have installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. This is not a hardware issue with the iPhone. Please insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iPhone be unlocked by your carrier. Please contact Apple for more information.

I have tried both O2 Sim cards Tmobile and Play poland, neither will allow me to activate the phone....

Do you have any answers or solutions to this?

Who did the unlocking?

Sound like it's not officially unlocked by the carrier the iPhone is locked to.

BTW, iPhone 3G cannot have IOS7.

Two things...

1) The iPhone 3G does NOT Support iOS 7

2) It would appear that the Phone has been Hacked to unlock it.

If this is the case...You will need to look elsewhere

I bought the phone as an unlocked phone, the previous user had used the phone on 2 different networks, but im ****** if i can get it to accept any sim card. its an old phone unlocking was supposedly done 2 owners ago

But if the unlocking was not done OFFICIALLY... that is the source of your issue

My apologies its not ios7, however i cannot check what version it is as i cant get past the activation screen, and cannot view in ITunes

Not hacked was working fine before the reset, apart from not connecting to a carrier, not sure of what OS its running, i did not check before resetting it, now cannot view it to check

Which is an indication that it was previously hacked to illegally unlock it.

Sounds like it was hacked to unlock it. When you "reset the phone to factory", this removed the hack and thus relocked it.
