My numbers '09 will not update. How do I do this?

On my macbook, my app store updates are up-to-date, having recently updated to v3.1, but when I open numbers it says the version I am still using is v2.3? I am using OS X 10.9.1.

any suggestions? thanks.

MacBook (13-inch Late 2009), OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

Hi Graham,

Numbers 3.1 has not replaced Numbers 2.3, nor the Dock icon that points to Numbers 2.3

Numbers 3 in in your Applications folder. Drag the icon to the Dock , right click and Options > Keep in Dock. Launch from there.

Numbers 2.3 is in a sub folder called iWork '09 inside the Applications folder. Both versions can run at once.
