Why can't I finish installing W7 under Mavericks?

I am trying to install W7, again, under Mavericks and I cannot do so. Every thing seem to be installed but at start, I get a message that "BOOTMGR is missing, press ctl+alt+delete to restart", but the keyboard (wired and working) will not function so I can do nothing. I have tried more than once. I am trying to install W7 Home Premium and it is a legit disc. I installed the same disc under SN and all was fine.

Sorry about the long time to reply. I have been away from my computer awhile.

I tried your suggestion some time ago with no success. I thought the latest update to 10.9 would do the trick, but no dice.

If anyone out there has had success installing W7 with Mavericks, I would like to hear from them. Maybe my problem is the age of my iMac, mid 2010. It is interesting that I had W7 on THIS computer, installed under Leopard.
