Q: keychain password problems

Hi

I do not know what a keychain password is and have never activated them yet i am asked for a password nearly everytime i do something on my macbook pro. seems to have occured when i upgraded to the last OS before Mavericks.  incredibly frustrating as I cant even remedy the password as a) i dont know how b) i dont know what the password could be.

can someone help?
