In previous versions of numbers it was possible to view in printview and to resize the tables and graphs. I cannot find this anymore? Is that correct or do I oversee something?

Printview and zooming now takes place in the first stage of a two-stage Printing dialog. Command-P to get there.

What Jerry said except you cannot reposition objects or resize specific objects, there is no editing in this "Print View".
Yes and that is my question. In previous versions you could resize individual objects. And now this is very labour intensive and not really working.
Yep.
Please let Apple know how you feel. Numbers/Provide Numbers Feedback
Apple has promised some improvement in Numbers Version 3 layout capability sometime in the next few months, but they didn't say that they would restore all the Numbers '09 layout tools.

Thanks for your reaction. I will send a message to Apple about thus issue. This discussion didn't provide the answer to me, but to inform Apple about this is worth trying.
Meanwhile, if you haven't already, have a look at the workarounds thread for ideas on how to work with Numbers 3.

Most of the posts here are from folks like yourself, just trying to help others cope with what we've got. I think in time some of the more important lost features will be restored and we'll learn to get by with the app as it is.
