Are you using a Windows computer? If so, look at this link.

Are you importing photos from a camera, SD card, Flash drive?

You may need to delete iTunes on your computer and then reinstall.

I got this error for the first time this morning on my 5S (iTunes 11.1.4). I tried syncing this morning multiple times and kept getting this error.

The only thing different was that I had loaded the NUMBERS app and I had a spreadsheet file that I wanted to share between my iPhone and my Mac. I discovered that the file was OPEN FOR EDITING on the Mac. Once I exited out of that file on my Mac and resynced......no more error.

Obviously I can't guarantee this was the problem. But it's one more thing to try.

Issue resolved for me thanks to Apple Care & Apple Engineers.

Here's what I did:

1. Update all software: iTunes, iOS, OSX, iPhoto (Aperture too, if applicable), etc.

2. The error code pertains to syncing photos so uncheck SYNC PHOTOS when syncing iOS device with iTunes.

3. Let the sync take place. It should be successful with no photo syncing taking place.

4. The previous step allowed your iOS device to clear-out old data so it's ready to sync with photos now.

Hope this works for all of you.

Cheers
