iphone 4s will not charge

my phone only charge to 80% one night. The following night didnt charge at all. The phone is now off, and will not charge. First day of the phone being completely off, the charge symbol would show up on the phone and it would show when I connected it but now when I connect to a charger nothing shows. Ive tried all new cords ect. Nothing
