New iMac locks up

Just bought new iMac from Best Buy. Really sweet machine except for the freeze ups. My wife likes to play the slot machine games on Facebook. It freezes at least once a day on Facebook. It came loaded with Mavericks osx, and it was upgraded to 10.9.1 through App Store update notification. Any one else having similar problems. Is this a known issue with Apple? I was hoping to get away from these Microsoft type platform/os issues. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks...Joe

The warranty entitles you to complimentary phone support for the first 90 days of ownership.

If you bought the product in the U.S. directly from Apple (not from a reseller), you have 14 days from the date of delivery in which to exchange or return it for a refund. In other countries, the return policy may be different. If you bought from a reseller, its return policy applies.
